Gordon County Jail Roster Overview
The official Gordon County jail roster is the OffenderIndex inmate portal. It is linked from the county jail page and from the Gordon County Sheriff's Jail Division page. The sheriff describes the roster as an automatic report from the in-house jail database and says it is updated every 15 minutes. That makes it the first place to check for current Gordon County inmate records after a local arrest.
The roster covers county jail custody. It does not cover a person after transfer to a Georgia state prison, federal BOP facility, ICE detention system, or juvenile detention. It also should not be treated as a final court disposition. Booking charges can change after first appearance, prosecutor review, indictment, accusation, dismissal, plea, or trial. Use the roster for custody and booking facts, then use court and agency records for final case status.
Use the Gordon County Inmate Roster
The roster has three public tabs: Current Inmates, Bookings Over Last 24 Hours, and Inmates by Booking Date. Start with current inmates if the person is believed to be held now. Use the 24-hour tab for a very recent arrest. Use the booking-date tab when a date or date range is known.
- Open the official roster from the county jail page, sheriff Jail Division page, or OffenderIndex direct link.
- Enter a first name, last name, or both. A blank search may show the grid after it loads.
- Use Bookings Over Last 24 Hours when the arrest just happened.
- Use Inmates by Booking Date for a known booking date or range.
- Review the expanded record for charges, warrant number, court, bond, sentence, status, and age.
- If no record appears, call the jail or check the correct state, federal, immigration, or notification system.
The OffenderIndex roster source shows the Gordon County tabs for current inmates, recent bookings, and date-based booking search.
Those tabs are useful, but they do not guarantee historical coverage after release or transfer.
Gordon County Roster Search Fields
Research inspected the public roster controls and configuration. First and last name filters appear on current, 24-hour, and booking-date tabs. Date pickers appear on the booking-date tab. A previous-inmates checkbox exists in code, but Gordon's configuration hid it, so broad released-inmate search should be handled through a records request when the roster does not show the entry.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| First Name | Text | Optional or unspecified | Filters the selected roster grid by first-name letters. |
| Last Name | Text | Optional or unspecified | Filters the selected roster grid by last-name letters. |
| Search | Button | n/a | Runs the search on the current tab. |
| Clear | Button | n/a | Clears the name fields or resets date fields. |
| Start date | Date picker | Optional or unspecified | Used for the Inmates by Booking Date tab. |
| Stop date | Date picker | Optional or unspecified | Completes the date range for booking-date searches. |
| Include Previous Inmates | Checkbox | Hidden by Gordon config | Do not rely on this for public historical search coverage. |
Gordon County Inmate Profile Fields
A Gordon County inmate profile is a booking and custody record. It can show charge and court clues, but it does not prove conviction. The inspected roster template enabled charge, warrant, statute, count, court, total bond, sentence, and age fields. Height, weight, address, inmate ID, date of birth, location, release, visitation, and history fields were disabled in the Gordon configuration.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name | First name and last name from the jail record. |
| Status | The booked-status field in the roster. |
| Sex and age | Sex is visible; age is enabled in the Other tab. |
| Arrest date and time | Date and time associated with arrest or booking. |
| Arresting officer | The officer credited on the roster for the arrest. |
| Total bond | Bond total when available from the jail record. |
| Charges | Warrant number, charge description, type, statute, count, and court. |
| Photo | The platform supports photos, but Gordon's inspected public configuration did not display roster photos. |

Booking Process in Gordon County
After arrest by the sheriff, Calhoun Police, Fairmount, Resaca, Georgia State Patrol, GBI, or another agency, the person may be transported to Gordon County Jail. Intake creates a jail record in the in-house database. The roster may then show status, arrest date and time, arresting officer, total bond, charges, warrant number, statute, count, court, sentence, and age. The research does not state an exact posting delay, so the best wording is after jail processing and database update.
Gordon County says admitted persons are brought before a judicial officer for first appearance in accordance with law. Local first appearances are held Monday-Friday at about 2 p.m. and on weekends or other times as designated by the Magistrate Judge. The hearings are conducted by video from the jail courtroom and may be viewed in the jail lobby at scheduled times. Bond and bond conditions are set at that hearing unless another court controls bail for the offense.

Request Gordon County Jail Records
When the roster does not answer the question, Gordon County inmate records can move through several official request channels. Jail operations can answer custody, release, bond, and booking-record questions at 706-629-1246. The jail lobby at 2700 U.S. 41 North is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. for normal public business, with after-hours and weekend access limited to official jail business. For sheriff incident or accident reports, the sheriff's report-request page says the online request form may be used and that identification may be required for selected reports.
Broader county public-record requests can be filed through Gordon County NextRequest. That portal identifies the County Clerk as the official County Records Custodian for Georgia Open Records Act purposes. A useful jail-record request should name the person, give the booking date or approximate arrest date, identify the record type, and state whether the request is for a roster entry, booking record, bond record, release record, incident report, or booking photograph. Georgia agencies may need to redact juvenile, medical, safety, active-investigation, or restricted-record information before release.
Bond information should also be checked against the jail record before money changes hands. Gordon County accepts cash, property, transfer, and professional bonds under local rules, but a posted bond may not release a person who has a no-bond order, another agency hold, probation or parole issue, state or federal transfer hold, or immigration custody issue. Jail staff cannot recommend a bonding company, and cash bonds for Calhoun City cases are handled by Calhoun Municipal Court rather than the jail. Bond records should be matched to the listed court.
